Brian O’Callaghan to lead Canadian AI drug firm
Irishman will be responsible for leading biotech Deep Genomic’s next stage of growth
Irish life sciences veteran Brian O’Callaghan has taken the reins at Canadian AI drug development firm Deep Genomics.
O’Callaghan, who has held c-suite and board positions in several pharma companies, was recently appointed chief executive of the Toronto-based company.
Deep Genomics, founded in 2015 and spun out of the University of Toronto, is a biotech start-up backed by Softbank that is working with artificial intelligence to analyse genetic data to develop new drugs.
