Big-name backers check in to Shackle as it raises €13.8m

The Irish-founded hospitality tech platform provides contactless tools to manage all in-hotel services

Shackle, an Irish-founded hospitality tech platform, has raised £12 million (€13.8 million) in a Series A funding round with some big name backers attached.

In addition to the raise, Gerald Lawless, the founding chief executive of Jumeirah Group, the Emirati state-owned luxury hotel chain, has also joined the start-up as a director.

Founded in 2020 by Offaly man Mark Abraham, London-headquartered Shackle provides contactless tools to manage all in-hotel services.
