It’s hard to believe that just under two centuries ago, one of greater Dublin’s most affluent suburbs was open farmland. The emergence of Foxrock as a desirable location, with grand residences to match the aspirations of a then burgeoning middle class, had its tentative beginnings in the 1860s.
