Meet The Maker: Yasha Butler

The Wicklow-based artist finds inspiration in the Mediterranean coast and aims for her work to bring about a sense of calm in the viewer

Currently based in Co Wicklow, Yasha Butler has been a resident artist at the Museum of Arts and Design (New York), the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts (Newcastle, Maine), and a visiting artist at Harvard Ceramics (Allston, MA).

She has exhibited at galleries in the US, Spain, Ireland, Britain, Italy, France and Turkey. From 2006 to 2009, she worked as a technician and maintained a studio at The Clay Studio (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). She opened ...
