Meet the artist: Niamh O’Malley

The Dublin-based visual artist aims to develop exhibitions that encourage people to explore the interaction between their bodies and the objects and spaces she creates

Mayo-born Niamh O’Malley studied in Belfast and currently lives and works in Dublin. She has evolved an artistic practice over the last 25 years of works with film alongside sculptural materials including glass, wood, metal and stone.

O’Malley represented Ireland at the 59th Venice Art Biennale in 2022. Her exhibition from Venice is currently on show at The Model Arts Centre, Sligo, and an exhibition of new work has opened in Temple Bar Gallery & ...
