Le Brocquy’s Oscar Heads up de Veres auction

Oscar Wilde would surely be pleased with his image as portrayed in Louis le Brocquy’s 1992 watercolour, a headline lot at de Veres next month.

The sensuous mouth and a pair of eyes you could drown in speak volumes.

With his Heads series, Le Brocquy turned a page in the history of portraiture, producing spectral, enigmatic images that portray the inner man (€15,000-€20,000).
