Akin to the Olympics of the Contemporary Art World, the 59th edition of the Venice Biennale opened in April and runs to November 27.

Now in its 120th year, it is considered the most prestigious culture event in the world with more than 80 countries taking pavilions in the Giardini and Arsenale not to mention the numerous other collateral exhibitions taking place across the historic city.
