It’s a story often told, but well worth repeating. In the summer of 1910, painter Paul Henry and his wife Grace decided to take a fortnight’s holiday on Achill Island. After only two days, Henry famously took the return railway ticket and tore it into pieces, so captivated was he with the island that proved to be his destiny.
