We need to provide a million homes in next 10 years, says Bacik

Ivana Bacik, the Labour Party leader, has called for the delivery of 50,000 newbuilds and 50,000 refurbished homes a year for the next decade.

At her party’s annual conference in Cork yesterday, she said there had been a catastrophic failure by the government to deliver on housing and promised that her party would provide social and affordable homes needed for “our young and future generations”.
