Another chapter in the extraordinary history of the city of Derry concluded last week, as Martin Pacelli McGuinness was laid to rest away on the hillside, up in the republican plot. Those thousands of British security forces who had spent years trying to achieve this ending for him, must have watched their televisions in some fascination.
