Unions prove biggest bully on school bus

This is not an insignificant issue. With very few sectors of the bus market open to any sort of competition, some 1,500 private Irish bus companies are dependent on school bus contracts. Each of those companies must apply to Bus Eireann, a process which involves handing over their sensitive commercial information to their biggest competitor and then hoping they are still in its good books.
