Fine Gael is bracing itself for an explosive book from the former minister for justice Alan Shatter about how he was “targeted by a cabinet colleague” in the run-up to his resignation.
The advance publicity for Frenzy and Betrayal also claims that Shatter was damaged by “political manoeuvring” by then taoiseach Enda Kenny and “abandoned by his Fine Gael party colleagues” when he was forced to resign as minister for justice.
