Red C poll: Crunch time for Varadkar as Fine Gael’s support hits lowest level ever

As his party records its worst ever showing in Red C poll history, the Tánaiste may be forced to contemplate a cabinet reshuffle to arrest the decline in its fortunes

Fine Gael has recorded its worst ever result in the latest Business Post/Red C poll in the midst of the current energy crisis, while Fianna Fáil has increased its support in a reversal of the two parties’ fortunes.

Sinn Féin remains the most popular party in the country, despite a slight drop in its support level, while Fine Gael’s has dropped for the third Red C poll in a row.
