President Michael D Higgins has called for the truth behind the Omagh bombing to be established.

His comments come as a private service for families and victims of the 1998 bomb will be held in the County Tyrone town to mark the 25th anniversary of the attack.

Twenty-nine people, including a woman pregnant with twins, were killed by the bomb planted by the Real IRA.
