Plan aims to encourage more women into workforce
The Labour Party wants to cap the cost of childcare in order to incentivise women to work.
In a speech to Labour’s pre-parliamentary term gathering in Athy, Co Kildare today, party leader Brendan Howlin is expected to say that the failure to provide affordable childcare is leading to just over half of the number of women with young children being at work.
