Government pushes to get bill passed for Northern fishermen

The government is planning to push a bill through the Seanad this week to give Northern fishing boats access to Irish waters.

It has been illegal for Northern boats to fish inside the Irish exclusive fishery zone for the first six miles from the coast since a Supreme Court verdict in 2016.
