Move comes after IDA decided not to renew contract

Connect Ireland, the job creation scheme backed by businessman Terry Clune, has lobbied TDs in a bid to keep the venture going after the IDA decided not to renew its contract. The company told TDs and senators last week the decision would cost jobs in the regions. However, a number of TDs who were invited to attend the briefing in Leinster House last week didn’t attend.
