Reform UK, the Nigel Farage-linked party, has gained its first MP following the defection of Lee Anderson, the outspoken former Tory deputy chairman and GB News presenter.

Richard Tice, the party’s leader, suggested that more defections could come soon, as the right-wing and anti-immigration party prepares to take on the Conservatives at the next general election.
