This week Aer Lingus confirmed it is to take delivery of seven new Airbus A321LR aircraft. It is confirmation of a well-flagged plan by the airline to follow the growing trend of flying smaller more efficient aircraft on routes that were once the preserve of giant Boeing 747 Jumbo Jets.
