US-based Trivela Group poised to buy Drogheda United

League of Ireland club management hope to announce the deal in the coming weeks

Drogheda United are in the final stages of talks to sell the League of Ireland club to a US investment fund that already owns England’s Walsall FC.

The Premier Division club are nearing the end of a due diligence process with Trivela Group LLC, an Alabama-headquartered fund that was founded in 2021.
