UK finance minister meets with Shein boss as fashion giant mulls London listing

If Shein does decide to list on the flailing FTSE, it would likely be one of the biggest ever entries to the London exchange

Jeremy Hunt, the UK Chancellor, has met the boss of Shein in recent weeks, amid growing hopes that the fast fashion giant will ultimately decide to list on the London stock market.

Such a move would be a major coup for London Stock Exchange (LSE), which has taken repeated hits in recent months after a series of high-profile exits by major firms.

A meeting in February between Hunt and Shein chairman Donald Tang was first reported by Sky News. A source told the Business Post that the request for a meeting came from the company.
