Today FM owner Bauer Media overtakes RTÉ as most listened to Irish radio group

Bauer, which recently expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of iRadio, now reaches a weekly audience of 2.16 million, while RTÉ reaches 2.03 million

Bauer Media Ireland, which owns a growing portfolio of radio stations including Today FM and Newstalk, has surpassed RTÉ as the most listened to radio group in the country.

According to the latest Joint National Listenership Report (JNLR) figures, which surveyed the public’s radio habits from September to November 2023, Bauer’s stations attracted 2.16 million listeners, on a weekly basis, up from 1.98 million on the previous three-month period.
