Three large law firms lead way in signing up to Bar Council gender work policy

Big Six yet to adopt the measure which aims to encourage a fairer distribution of briefings to female barristers

A number of large law firms have signed up to a new Bar Council policy which seeks to encourage fairer distribution of work to female barristers.

DLA Piper, Maples and RDJ are among the first to sign up for the Bar of Ireland’s equitable briefing policy, which was formally launched at the start of March after years of planning. Between them they employ more than 250 lawyers.
