All options, including a new digital levy, should remain on the table as pressure increases on the government to reform Ireland’s outdated TV licence fee system, a member of the Oireachtas media committee has said.

On Sunday, the Business Post revealed that plans to replace the TV licence fee - which saw sales collapse by €19 million last year after the secret payments scandal - could see a new levy of €10 to €15 a month charged on household bills of services that facilitate access to media.
