An EU-wide trade group that includes Amazon, Revolut and payments firms connected to JP Morgan and Google has said parts of the gambling regulation bill are “disproportionate”.

Ireland’s forthcoming gambling laws could dissuade banks and other financial institutions from offering services to betting companies, a major lobby group has warned.
