Support from Bar Council may be withdrawn from Flac

Flac is a not-for-profit established by law students in 1969

The Bar Council of Ireland, which represents the state’s 2,173 practising barristers, is to consider withdrawing its support for the Free Legal Advice Centre (Flac).

A motion will be discussed at a meeting tomorrow to stop support as well as financial donations until the agency introduces a policy on reporting abuse of children or vulnerable persons to the relevant authorities.
