The state’s planning watchdog has not yet commenced or finalised a timeline for its investigation into An Bord Pleanála, which was announced in June.

Earlier this year, the Office of the Planning Regulator (OPR) said it would conduct a “focused review” of An Bord Pleanála following a series of reports that alleged irregularities in planning decisions made by Paul Hyde, who was then deputy chairman of An Bord Pleanála.

Hyde, who stepped down from his role on July 8, has denied all the allegations against him. A spokeswoman for the OPR confirmed to the Business Post that its investigation into An Bord Pleanála has not yet commenced.
