Sony’s Irish arm tunes up turnover even as firm frets over music market

Music label behind releases by Christy Moore and Damien Dempsey grows turnover to nearly €20 million

The Irish operation of Sony Music, which counts Christy Moore and Damien Dempsey among its local artists, boosted its turnover to near €20 million in 2023 despite a “challenging market”.

The global label, which also caters to Beyonce, Asap Rocky, Adele and more, also grew its Irish profits in the year ending March 2023.
