Skytek lands earth observation deal

Skytek, the Dublin-based space technology company, has secured a major contract with the country’s high-performance computing centre to allow people to access data on the earth’s movements.

The company is working with the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) to develop a system to store observations of earth from the sky.

Chief executive Sarah Bourke said that as the project develops, Skytek could be processing earth observational data for all of Europe.
