Sharp drop in TV licence sales in June and early July amid RTÉ controversy

The number of sales and renewals of the TV licence dropped significantly in June and the start of July compared to the same period last year, new figures show.

In total, there were 5,837 fewer TV licences sold in Ireland across June and the first week of July compared to the five-week period in 2022.
