Sharon Tobin will permanently replace Catríona Perry as co-anchor of the Six One News, RTÉ has announced.
Tobin will join broadcaster David McCullagh on the flagship bulletin in a permanent capacity from Monday. She has previously appeared on the programme as a stand-in presenter, most recently since May after Perry announced her departure from RTÉ to take up a position in Washington with the BBC.
