Ryanair has called on Eamon Ryan, the Minister for Transport, to reverse the “idiotic” and “stupid” decision by Fingal County Council to restrict the number of night-time flights operating from Dublin Airport by 40 per cent.

In a statement on Friday, the low cost airline said the council must not be allowed to dictate national aviation policy or to restrict flights in and out of Ireland’s largest airport with just six week’s notice.
