Former Irish Nationwide Building Society (INBS) chief executive Michael Fingleton was initially disposed to cooperate with a Central Bank investigation but “dramatically changed position”, the Court of Appeal has heard.

Fingleton has brought a judicial review aimed at halting the inquiry into alleged regulatory breaches at the society in its commercial lending and credit risk management processes between 2004 and 2008.
