The government has overlooked an economical way to help to solve the challenge of decarbonising heat energy, according to a group representing the renewable gas industry in Ireland.

The chairman of the Renewable Gas Forum Ireland (RGFI) is calling for the government to create an incentive scheme for renewable gas. Currently, the renewable heating initiatives being promoted by government are for electrification or burning of solid biomass.
