The Office of the Planning Regulator has warned the reliance on private cars for transport from a large number of household in new housing will make achieving climate targets “very challenging”.

The regulator of the planning sector is due to appear before the Oireahtas housing committee on Tuesday to discuss the review of the National Planning Framework (NPF) and ongoing climate targets.
