Profits at Mincon halve after brutal 2023

Engineering group said a subdued market environment has continued into 2024

Mincon, the Irish engineering group, will endeavor to improve its competitiveness after a brutal 2023 - which saw profits shrink by almost 50 per cent.

The Dublin-listed company which specialises in the design, manufacture, sale and servicing of rock-drilling tools and associated products, reported a profit of €7 million for 2023 - down from €14.7 million the previous year.

Mincon’s revenue dropped 8 per cent to €156.9 million due to disruption in the mining industry.
