The last symbols of Ulster Bank in the Republic of Ireland are to disappear permanently, the lender has confirmed, with its final branches to close their doors for the last time today.

The Natwest-owned bank, which announced it was exiting the Irish market in early 2021, has been withdrawing its services on a phased basis over the last two years.
