The Peter McVerry Trust has confirmed it acquired homes in Offaly that were developed by its former auditor in 2018.

Records show that the charity, which is currently facing a series of probes due to financial and governance issues, acquired the properties for €945,000.

The apartments, based in a block called The Heritage, were developed by Donal Ryan, whose firm audited the Peter McVerry Trust between 2006 and 2022.
