Revealed: ‘Potential financial issues’ discovered at Peter McVerry Trust

The Department of Housing has been alerted and said it understands that an independent auditor has been appointed to the charity

The Peter McVerry Trust has alerted Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien of “potential financial issues” at the homeless charity, the Business Post can reveal.

Francis Doherty, chief executive of the Peter McVerry Trust, confirmed that the charity is facing cash flow pressures “more acute than would traditionally be the case”.
