Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has briefed ministers about a new report showing that the impact of a no-deal Brexit will be even worse than previous official forecasts.

The research published by the ESRI projected an immediate hit of 1.4 per cent to economic growth if Britain crashes out of the EU in 19 days’ time. And the Department of Finance has estimated that Brexit will cost 55,000 jobs by 2023.
