New liquidator appointed to Pálás cinema’s troubled former company
The Revenue Commissioners’ nominee has now been confirmed by the High Court
The Revenue Commissioners have secured the appointment of a new liquidator to Solas, the controversial company formerly behind the arthouse Pálás cinema in Galway.
Solas Galway Picture Palace collapsed in July of last year, having received more than €7.5 million in state funding for the cinema, along with a site acquired by Galway City Council in 2007 for €1.9 million.
