New influx of overseas fraudsters deepens our insurance crisis

Fraudsters are flocking to Ireland to take advantage of the country’s abnormally high personal-injury awards as the insurance crisis engulfing businesses, voluntary organisations and consumers continues to deepen.

Aviva Ireland, one of the country’s largest insurers, has dealt with 50 cases of suspected insurance fraud committed by people travelling from Britain in the last three years alone.
