A new advocacy group called Ireland Electrified has been launched with the aim of promoting Ireland’s “second electrification revolution”.

The group is made up of member companies from across the electricity, heat and transport sectors, including ESB, SSE and PwC. It will advocate for policies that “accelerate the electrification of the country’s heating and transport sector” for the purpose of “cutting our carbon emissions and strengthening Irish energy security”.
