NatWest chief apologises to Farage for ‘inappropriate’ remarks following Coutts ousting

The head of one of England’s largest commercial banks has apologised to former UK politician Nigel Farage over “deeply inappropriate comments” made about him in official papers.

It comes after the devout Brexiteer said his account with a prestigious, private bank, Coutts, which is owned by NatWest Group, was closed because it did not agree with his political views, putting pressure on the banking group.
