Multinationals refuse invite to PAC committee

A number of multinational companies have rejected a request to appear before the Oireachtas public accounts committee (PAC) even though they were assured their corporation tax affairs would not be discussed.

The Sunday Business Post has learned that only drug giant GSK has decided it will attend the PAC meetings, with other companies including Apple, Google, Pfizer, Citi and JP Morgan all declining to appear.
