Middle-East investors amassing 1,000 acres in Wicklow to build international airport

The consortium planning the East Leinster International Airport Project have provisionally secured 600 acres from landowners in Arklow.

The project overview has estimated that 47 per cent of the revenue would be generated from airport charges, which would include aircraft parking, airbridge and passenger charges

A Middle Eastern investment consortium is advancing ambitious plans to build an international airport in Wicklow, after provisional deals with local farmers and families to buy more than 600 acres of land.
