The government won’t discuss a potential once-off cost of living budget package until later in the summer, Tánaiste Micheál Martin has said.
Martin was speaking to reporters outside Leinster House alongside Michael McGrath, the Minister for Finance, and Senator Lisa Chambers ahead of Fianna Fáil’s pre-budget parliamentary party meeting. He was addressing the publication of the Summer Economic Statement, which was published yesterday and sets out the broad spending parameters for Budget 2024.
