Micheál Martin announces Ireland House Chicago to expand presence in US

Significant investment in Mid-West America will see new location open in autumn

Micheál Martin, Tánaiste and foreign affairs minister and Brandon Johnson, the mayor of Chicago, who said, ‘We warmly welcome Ireland House to the great city of Chicago.’

Ireland is to expand its diplomatic footprint by launching a new ‘Ireland House’ in Chicago later this year to boost US-based Irish firms and help create jobs at home.

Speaking in Chicago, Tánaiste Micheál Martin said the government will make a “significant investment” in the ‘windy city’ in the coming months.
