Lowry to appeal High Court decision for tax offences trial to go ahead
Former minister says he will take his case to Europe if necessary
Outgoing Independent TD Michael Lowry is to appeal against today's High Court ruling which cleared the way for his upcoming trial for alleged tax offences.
Justice Seamus Noonan concluded that Lowry had raised a multitude of arguments that were “in many instances, ingenious and even superficially attractive” but were, in truth, “devoid of any substance or merit".
