Lowry loses High Court bid to halt trial for tax offences

Judgment rejects all strands of former Fine Gael minister's case

Outgoing Independent TD Michael Lowry has lost a High Court case aimed at halting his upcoming trial for alleged tax offences.

The former Communications Minister will now be tried at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on four charges of filing incorrect returns in 2003 and 2007.
